Thinking of starting off a new career? Choosing the right company to work and grow in has just become easier. LinkedIn has released a list of the top 10 companies, professionals are most interested in working in.
The list was created based on the rate at which LinkedIn members were applying to job openings in such companies and some other parameters which include:
- How often non-employees were seeking to connect with company employees on LinkedIn
- Whether or not employees held the job for at least a year
- Companies that went out of their way to seek out talent and develop employees once they were hired, among a host of other characteristics.
Below is the list of top 10 companies you should want to work with:
1. Alphabet
Alphabet Inc. is an American multinational conglomerate created in a corporate restructuring on October 2, 2015. It is the parent company of Google and several former Google subsidiaries.
With free gourmet cafeterias, massage rooms, nap pods, haircuts and onsite doctors available for employee checkups (free of charge), Google is trying its best to keep employees happy.
2. Amazon
Amazon.com, Inc. is an American electronic commerce and cloud computing company that was founded on July 5, 1994 by Jeff Bezos and is based in Seattle, Washington Throughout the year, Amazon coordinates small appearances by musicians, authors, TV/movie personalities, notable professionals, etc. Employees can attend for free.
3. Facebook
Facebook is an American for-profit corporation and an online social media and social networking service based in Menlo Park, California.
Among other perks Facebook has a free candy shop loaded with frozen yogurt, ice cream, a toppings bar, candy and a fresh bakery.
4. Salesforce
Salesforce.com, inc. is an American cloud computing company headquartered in San Francisco, California.

10. Comcast NBCUniversal
Comcast NBCUniversal recently made a commitment to hiring 10,000 military veterans, to add to its already 160,000-strong ranks of employees. LinkedIn also noted that the company has spent some $8 billion to diversify its supply chain, specifically working with minority and women-owned suppliers.
Interestingly, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Google Inc., Sundar Pichai landed in Lagos, Nigeria on Thursday, July 27, and said his team would be training 10 million Nigerians in the next five years.
CEO Pichai said this while highlighting the need for individuals and businesses to leverage the digital space and subsequently transition into a digital economy.
